What is CoolSculpting®?
CoolSculpting® is an FDA-cleared, nonsurgical fat reduction treatment. It uses controlled cooling, called cryolipolysis, to freeze and destroy fat cells in a targeted area without harming the skin. Over the following weeks, your body naturally clears those cells, reducing about 20–25% of the fat in each treated area. Once fat cells are eliminated, they don’t come back.

Who is CoolSculpting® for?
CoolSculpting® may be a good fit if:
- You’re at or near your goal weight
- You have stubborn, pinchable areas of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise
- You’d prefer a non-surgical option with no downtime
- You’re comfortable with gradual, natural-looking results over a few months
CoolSculpting® isn’t a weight-loss treatment, and it doesn’t tighten loose skin. If you’re bothered by loose skin or larger areas of fat, [liposuction] or a [tummy tuck] may be a better fit. We’ll help you decide at your consultation.
CoolSculpting® isn’t recommended for people with certain cold-related conditions, such as cryoglobulinemia or cold agglutinin disease, or during pregnancy.
